Casa de Pacas is a self catering "casa rural" settled on a rustic finca of 6000 metres and only 300 metres away from the city centre. Enclosed by fenced gardens, the holiday accommodation has private swimming pool, barbecue, children's playground, bikes, Paddel, table tennis, table-football, Mini-Golf and a four holes Putting Green. The building is typical house of La Mancha on one floor (350 metres) and air-conditioned.

4 double rooms and 1 junior suite , all with heating and air-conditioning, 4 bathrooms (hydrotherapy), a fully equipped kitchen and a lounge with a fireplace and small library, TV, DVD, hi-fi, board games and film library; outdoors, we find two terraces with a television and gardens with fruit trees.

  COMENTARIOS: Gracias a paqui y Ramon por todo, por su amabilidad en los tramites previos a la organización del fin de semana así como una vez que llegamos. Casa de pacas es la mejor casa rural que he visitado, ya sea por todo lo equipada que esta hasta el mínimo detalle, como sus instalaciones donde los mas pequeños disfrutaron como nunca jugando todo el rato, en la casa de los niños se lo pasaron genial y dando de comer a las gallinas... Los mayores hemos estado de lujo, con todas las comodidades que tienes en tu propia casa. Seguro que repetiremos muchas veces. Mil gracias por todo . Un besazo a paqui y Ramon de la familia Gonzalez- Simarro .

  COMENTARIOS: IN-SU-PE-RA-BLE. Hemos disfrutado grandes y pequeños. La casa está muy bien acondicionada y no faltaba detalle. Nos habíamos llevado cuchillo jamonero, lima y sujeta-jamón y con sorpresa descubrimos que también teníais a nuesta disposición. Fenomenal también los contactos para paellas, compra de carne....Lo dicho, inmejorable.

  COMENTARIOS: La mejor casa rural en la que hemos estado. Por su amplitud, comodidad y la cantidad de actividades que se pueden realizar sin salir del recinto(piscina, barbacoa, padel, ping-pong, footboling,...). Tiene muchos detalles que hacen cómoda la estancia. La casa muy fresquita en verano, con aparcamiento en el interior del recinto para los coches y mucha sombra. Estuvimos una semana y se nos hizo muy corto. Gracias a Ramón y Paqui por su hospitalidad.Volveremos

  COMENTARIOS: Fantástica estancia en esta maravillosa casa, estuvimos el fin de semana pasado celebrando una despedida de soltero y solo puedo decir que fue perfecto. De la casa no se puede tener ninguna queja, todo perfecto, así como del trato dispensado. Por supuesto que volveremos, y debo casi por obligación recomendar Casa de Pacas a toda aquella persona que quiera disfrutar de una estancia fantástica rodeado de una ambiente de tranquilidad insuperable. Sinceramente dar las gracias a los dueños por ofrecer algo así con tan buen gusto y con tanta libertad. Sobre 10, un 11

• Review of Casa de Pacas
  When we first visited Casa de Pacas in 2008 we wondered quite what to expect.
  We didn’t wonder for long. This delightful house fitted in 7 adults and 8 children with ease. All the bedrooms run off a central living area and the design of the accommodation works well. There is a kitchen inside but most of our cooking took place outside on a huge barbecue- fuelled by wood or gas.
  There is a nice clean swimming pool and, next to the barbecue, a spacious poolside bar. At the rear of the property the owners have built a padel tennis court and there is also a putting green and crazy golf area. Adjoining the house is a games room including table tennis and a lounge area.
  A holiday at Casa de Pacas is a chill out experience. Leave your i-phones and blackberries at home. If you can’t relax here then see a doctor- your stress levels are too high.
  Bicycles are provided, so you can draw straws to see who will wobble off in the mornings to get the croissants and churros. And if you want to go out en masse, there are bikes for most shapes and sizes.
  Bolanos itself is a short walk away and has two main squares. It comes to life around 9 p.m. with children playing as their parents share tapas and drinks in surrounding restaurants and bars.
  For the active ones , cycling aside, there are a lots of other places to visit. The nearby town of Almagro is a delight and hosts a medieval theatre that is a must see.
  You can also follow the Don Quixote trail as described by Cervantes.
  There is a bull ring in both Bolanos and Almagro for aficionados of bull-fighting.
  Further afield there are nature reserves and lake swimming. Or you can visit a magnificent Crusader castle- in days of yore the last bastion of southern Christian Spain. From its heights you can imagine an uneasy impasse between the Crusaders and the encroaching Moors.
  Cuidad Real is nearby, and is a bigger shopping centre, well worth a visit for lunch and a browse round the shops. Though do check for shop opening hours, the siesta is observed in this region!
  Wine tasting can be arranged locally or in the nearby wine growing area of Valdepenas and local supermarkets stock a huge range of good value seafood, meats, fruit and vegetables. We have never eaten so well and so healthily.
  If you prefer to eat out, your charming hosts Ramon and Paqui will guide you. Indeed if you need anything at all, you will find that nothing is too much trouble to this couple, who look after their property with pride. They live in Almagro but visit every day to clean the pool and make sure that you are ok.
  In 2011 we went back to the house for 3 weeks and had another marvellous holiday. This time Ramon actually managed to chisel us away from the pool and we were able to experience more of the region.
  
  We have gone to local fairs, enjoyed a Saint’s day partying away with the whole town of Bolanos, appeared in a magic show at the local castle, been caught up in a Columbian carnival procession and been taught how to make “proper” sangria by the local drinks distributor. “Los Ingleses” have been made to feel really welcome.
  If you want to be able to buy a full English or Sunday roast, go to the Costas, don’t bother coming.here.
  On the other hand, if you want to experience the real Spain, bring a Spanish dictionary and prepare to Viva Espana! Enjoy.
